Idaho Wine Regions
Western Treasure Valley & Sunnyslope
Plenty To See & Do
The Western Treasure Valley & Sunnyslope region is home to the Sunnyslope Wine Trail—a textbook expression of what it means to be in Idaho Wine Country. With its rolling landscape, picturesque views, and vineyard-dappled hills, it’s no wonder why Sunnyslope attracts wine lovers from all over. In addition to its many geographical gifts, the Western Treasure Valley & Sunnyslope region is home to unique wineries, tasting rooms, and festivals worth traveling for.
Situated along the western edge of the Snake River Valley AVA, the Western Treasure Valley & Sunnyslope region experiences a big temperature change from day to night typical of high-desert climates. Along with the volcanic soils, this temperature variation is responsible for the distinct character found in the grapes—and tasted in the wine. Combine that with its near-famous latitude for growing grapes, and it’s no wonder that award-winning wine gets its start right here.
