Eagle
Majestic Must-See Idaho Wine Region
Just like the rest of the Snake River Valley AVA, the Eagle Foothills AVA has some specific geographical conditions that result in wine with lots of character—like the unique granitic soils and local climate, for example. The slope and aspect of the Eagle Foothills play an important role in sunlight reception, cold air drainage, frost and wind protection. If only science were this delicious all the time…
In addition to its noteworthy contributions to the Idaho wine industry, Eagle is a stunning must-see for outdoorsy types. The rolling hills and nearby Boise River provide a picturesque backdrop for hiking, biking, kayaking, canoeing or simply strolling along in addition to exploring the vineyards.
