Hot on the heels of our sizzling “Tale of Two Vines” tomato extravaganza last year, this year in the collaboration between Veer Wines and Snake River Seed Cooperative, we’re focusing on vines of a different type–Cucurbits! 

Think cool, crunchy cucumbers, buttery sweet squashes, zany zucchinis, and mouthwatering melons! 
 

• Immerse yourself in cucurbit history and lore! 
• Explore cucumber, melon, and squash types and their unique culinary charms!
• Gain cucurbit growing tips from an experienced organic farmer!
• Learn how to save seeds from your favorite cucurbits AND how to breed your own unique cucurbit varieties! 
• Engage in some cucurbit-centered whimsy! 
• And take home 6 future cucurbit plants to grow at home! 

This event will include a serve-yourself Cucurbit Seed Bar featuring a wide variety of cucurbit seeds! Guests will be given a 6-pack of pots and will have the opportunity to choose cucurbit seeds to plant from a whopping selection of 15-25 different locally-adapted cucumber, melon, and squash varieties, field-tested and grown with love by area farmers! Your ticket also includes lunch and your first glass of wine!
