Williamson Vineyards - Vineyard Education: A Walking Tour
Have you ever wanted to know more about what it takes to get that delicious wine into your glass? Then don’t miss this rare opportunity to learn the Williamson family’s formula for a productive vineyard.
September 23, 2022 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Williamson Vineyards is hosting an evening walking tour of our vineyard where we will share our knowledge of the art and science of grape growing. The Williamson family has been farming in the Sunnyslope region for four generations and has developed a wealth of knowledge and experience for the unique growing conditions of this valley. With this class, we hope to shed light on the specific terroir of our vineyards and how the soil influences the wine in your glass. The evening will be broken into three segments: anatomy of the vine, sites and soils, and the relation of grapes and sugar brix.
Set against scenic vistas, attendees will enjoy learning more about the growing process while sipping on wine and nibbling appetizers. Guests can really get their hands dirty during our sites and soils discussion and sugar brix testing. This will be a charming summer evening spent discussing all things grape in the vineyard!
Tickets are $32 for the general public, $24 for wine club (plus taxes)
The ticket will include a 1- hour vineyard class, 5 – 2 oz. samples of wine and bottled water. This class is held outside in the vineyard, due to the heat of the summer and the rough terrain we recommend that guests come prepared for the elements. Please wear sturdy, close-toed shoes, hats & sunscreen. Long pants are recommended for walking through tall grasses. Idaho weather is changeable, you might want to think about a sweater or jacket. Our vineyards are remote and do not have permanent facilities, but a portable toilet will be provided.
Limited Space – 40 tickets available.
Tickets can be purchased on our webstore (HERE)
or directly over the phone at 208-459-7333.
All purchases are final – NO REFUNDS.
This event will be held on location in our vineyards (NOT THE TASTING ROOM) ~ 21986 Hoskins Rd., Caldwell, ID 83607
