August Artist of the Month- Connie Scherr

Connie relies on an impressionistic Alla Prima style. “The more I look at nature, the more colors I see.  I enjoy looking deep into nature or my subject matter and pulling out and enhancing the sometimes hidden color.”  Connie often paints from photographs, expressing the movement and feeling.  Connie has studied under numerous renowned artists, has been a featured artist for the Festival of Sandpoint and presents her work at the Artist Studio Gallery and her personal gallery, Scherr Haven Studio.
