Grapevines require 13 mineral nutrients for normal growth and development.  They include nitrogen, phosphorus, sulfur, potassium, magnesium, calcium, iron, manganese, copper, zinc, boron, molybdenum and chloride.  Shortages and in a few cases, excesses of these nutrients compromise canopy health, fruit yields and grape quality.

In this seminar we will examine the visual symptoms of mineral nutrient problems.  In addition, we will discuss how to collect representative tissue samples for mineral nutrient analysis and how to interpret tissue analysis results for mineral nutrient shortages and excesses.
